The exhibition was titled Lost Trades, Old Traditions and was held 15 September to 23 October 1988 at QVMAG. It was curated by Brian Allison who at that time was the Museum's Photographer. He was a graduate of the Art School in Hobart. I believe he is now Curator at Percy Grainger Museum in Melbourne.
This modest, but fantastic, exhibition consisted of photographic portraits of the makers and their objects. I believe the portraits were taken (previously) in Brian's own time and the Museum took advantage of his work and enthusiasm to host the exhibition. It would be considered a one off History exhibition. From memory the labels were very basic and there was not a catalogue ... Rhonda Hamilton 2018
